Christmas letter sorting sheet
For letters or messages your family already has. Use a short item label; leave children’s names, addresses and other identifying details off this sheet.
Status comes from your family’s record: received, read aloud, shared another way, draft or uncertain. A draft is not evidence that it was shared.
| Item label | Family-confirmed status | Date or order, if known | Original or source location | Copy made? | Copy checked? | Private storage or sharing decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fictional example: blue envelope | Read aloud (family recalls) | Second in sequence | Paper folder | Yes | Yes, legible | Private family folder |
After making a copy, open it and check that the whole message is readable. Keep the paper original when possible.
